Q Cells claims efficiency record for multi-crystalline PV module

The efficiency record, confirmed independently by the Fraunhofer ISE CalLab, was achieved using standard module components and with a module equal in size to Q Cells’ regular 60-cell product line – or 1670x1000 mm².

“Up until now, such values [as 19.5%] were only reached using mono-crystalline silicon and complex processing,” says Jörg Müller, Hanwha Q Cells’ director of R&D for cells.
