The water-free, battery-powered units, designed by the Israeli technology start-up to sweep efficiency-killing dirt and sand off PV modules using an innovative microfibre and air-flow system, will be installed at 40MW of Arava Power's Arava and Negev desert projects.
"Based on stellar results recorded from our Ketura Sun 5MW project [where the E4 robots] have been cleaning daily since January, showing increased production as expected, we took the decision to deploy Ecoppia technology on five additional sites," says Arava chief executive Jon Cohen.
