Over the last year, NRG has been investing heavily in its residential solar business, known as NRG Home Solar, which competes with the likes of SolarCity and Vivint Solar in offering solar leases and PPAs to homeowners.
On Monday NRG said it will form a new partnership with NRG Yield, which will “invest in and hold operating portfolios of” residential PV assets developed by NRG Home Solar.
