Norway's Scatec Solar secures $100m for Jordan PV

Norway-based Scatec Solar has secured $100m of finance to build three solar power projects in Jordan totalling 43MW.

The debt financing will be provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and French development agency Proparco.

The PV plants are being developed jointly by Scatec and its Jordanian partners, Quest Energy Investment, European Jordanian Renewable Energy Projects and Greenland Alternative Energy.

Scatec Solar will own 70% of the 10MW Oryx plant and 40% of the two other plants totalling 33MW capacity.
