Until June of this year, Bucknam was chief executive of New Jersey-based SunDurance Energy – the seventh largest installer of commercial rooftop PV systems last year, according to GTM Research.
Earlier this year Sunrun acquired REC Solar’s residential rooftop division. Since then, REC Solar has focused exclusively on the commercial-rooftop market, which it believes is ripe for much of the same streamlining and financial innovation that has propelled the residential PV sector in recent years.
