The Department of Energy and Climate Change (Decc) has launched a consultation on proposals that would see subsidies closed in 2016 for new solar farms of less than 5MW.
The proposals cover both the Renewables Obligation (RO) for bigger projects, and changes to rules on the feed-in tariff (FIT) for smaller projects. The department proposes to reduce RO support for solar on big roofs and in solar farms.
