NEC wins US battery-based energy storage system deal

NEC Energy Solutions has won a contract to supply a 2MW, 3.9MWh battery-based energy storage system for Sterling Municipal Light Department (SMLD) in Massachusetts, which will be the largest of its kind installed in the US New England region, according to the company.
