MegaCell said it will work with Misr Asset Management (MAM), a Cairo-based investment bank, to build the plant in time to start production in June 2015.

It will produce MegaCell’s bi-facial high-efficiency cells and modules, said a statement.

The PV producer hopes to tap into Egypt’s ambitions to install 2.3GW of PV capacity over the next two years, backed by a feed-in tariff programme.
