The Japanese conglomerate and EDF Energies Nouvelles will spend an undisclosed sum on equal stakes in the Laberinto Project in the Atacama Desert.
“From this first investment footprint in the Latin American power sector, Marubeni intends to expand its presence in the region,” the Tokyo-based company said in an online statement.
The PV array will be connected to Chile’s Northern Interconnected System in the Antofagasta region.
