The company says of the 23 solar farms, 14 were connected under the feed-in tariff (FIT), which is due to be heavily cut back from next month, while the remaining nine sites were eligible for the Renewable Obligations Certificate (ROC) programme, which will end on 31 March.

Prior to that date Lightsource has plans to connect a further 14 ground-mounted solar farms in the UK, adding an additional 92MW of capacity to the grid before the policy changes are enacted.
