The three units — LDK Solar USA, LDK Solar Tech USA and LDK Solar Systems, all registered in the Cayman Islands — have started soliciting votes on a prepackaged reorganisation plan from holders of the group’s 10% senior notes, according to the group’s joint provisional liquidators.
The announcement comes mere weeks after LDK revealed that company founder Xiaofeng Peng has stepped down as chairman.
