The company — Japan’s leading oil distributor — will build a 2.5MW plant on a 4.2-hectare plot of land in the city of Oga, in northern Japan’s Akita prefecture. It hopes to connect it to the grid next November.
It plans to connect 2MW of PV to the grid on an industrial site in Hitachi, Ibaraki prefecture, by October 2015.
