The blaze – at a “raw material processing workshop” in Shangrao city – was extinguished within an hour, according to Jinko. That contradicts other press reports, which said the fire continued for about four hours.
No casualties were reported at the plant, which employs around 1,000 people.
The damages are estimated to be in the range of 0.5m-1m yuan ($80,000-$160,000), with all affected manufacturing equipment apparently covered by insurance.
