JinkoSolar pulled in 2.7bn yuan ($443m) in the January- March period, up from 2bn yuan in the first three months of 2014.
JinkoSolar’s first quarter net profit grew to 51m yuan from a year-earlier 9.5m yuan, but its gross margin slipped to 20.3% from a year-earlier 24% as average selling prices slipped.
The module manufacturer had 617MW flowing to the grid at its own projects by the end of the quarter, producing revenue of 102m yuan – more than double its downstream income of a year earlier.
