By this summer, the factory will be ramped to its full annual capacity of 500MW for cells and 450MW for modules.
The factory, in northwestern Penang state, is Jinko’s third overseas production facility for modules – following existing sites in South Africa and Portugal – and its first for cells.
Jinko sold 2.4GW of modules last year, nearly all of them made at its factories in China’s Jiangxi and Zheijiang provinces.
