Deliveries of solar panels dropped to 1.7GW in the first quarter of the current Japanese fiscal year, from 2.8GW in the January-March period, the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA) said this week.
The decline — which represents a 13.5% year-on-year drop from the first quarter of fiscal 2014 — is in line with recent reductions to the nation’s feed-in tariff (FIT) programme.
