Residential PV installations will qualify for FIT rates of ¥31-33/kWh, from ¥33-35/kWh at present.
The ¥22/kWh FIT rate for onshore wind projects — as well as the ¥36/kWh for offshore wind farms — will remain unchanged, according to a statement by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
The government’s subsidy rates for biomass, geothermal and small hydropower projects will also remain the same.
