On Friday, the board of directors at Shanghai-based JA Solar – one of the world's largest PV manufacturers -- said it received a preliminary non-binding proposal letter from Jin.
In the letter, dated 5 June, Jin and Jinglong Group Co., a British Virgin Islands company of which he is sole director, offer to buy all the shares of JA Solar they do not already own for $9.69
