JA, like many of its Chinese rivals, has been taking advantage of the booming Chinese market in recent quarters to grow its top line. China accounted for 64% of JA’s external module shipments of 1,229MW in the second quarter, compared to just 45% in the same quarter last year.

Total revenues grew 52% year on year, to 4.1bn yuan ($620m).

Growing the bottom line, however, is more difficult in the low-cost Chinese market.
