The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) said that its investigation into the company’s affairs is “active,” ending more than a week of speculation fuelled by a dramatic 47% plunge in HTF’s stock price.
Prior to last week’s sudden losses — which slashed approximately $19bn off HTF’s market capitalisation — the company’s share price had soared roughly 600% over a two-year period, pushing its market value far beyond that of US-based thin-film PV rival First Solar.
