The Jiangsu-based company will work with the local authorities in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province — bordering Vietnam — to invest 4.8bn yuan in the construction of 600MW of ground-mount solar capacity.
It will also spend 2.4bn yuan to build 300MW of distributed-generation projects in the prefecture.
In addition, Hareon will invest 500m yuan to build a 300MW solar panel factory in the region.
