It will begin building the 350 billion won ($315.5m) factory this year in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk province, according to an online statement.
The new facility will bring its annual PV cell output capacity to 5.2GW.
The group has already made significant solar investments in Chungcheongbuk province, including a 230MW-250MW PV module factory now under construction in Eumseong, which is set for completion by the end of this month.
