It will invest 13bn won ($11.7m) in the new plant in Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk province.
It will start operations in May 2015 and will provide 200 new jobs.
Once completed, the new factory will bring the company’s total annual module production capacity to 2.23GW, it said in an online statement.
Earlier this month, SolarOne — based in Qidong, in eastern China’s Jiangsu province — agreed to establish a strategic partnership with the municipal bureau of commerce in Yantai, Shandong province, to develop 100MW of distributed PV along the country’s east coast.
