Regulus, which will begin commercial operation later this year, is the largest PV project SunEdison has ever built in North America.
Upon completion, the project will sell its power to Southern California Edison through a 20-year power purchase agreement, and be “dropped down” into TerraForm Power, SunEdison’s recently launched yieldco.
Regulus represents Google’s 17th investment into renewable-energy projects, and its fifth in its native California.
