Gestamp will provide engineering and construction services as well as O&M for the development, which will be the first utility-scale PV plant in Kuwait.
The project, due to be completed mid- 2015, will be the first project in the Middle East taken forward by Gestamp, said the Spanish developer.
It is estimated that annual power production will be 17.6GWh, added Gestamp.
Kuwait has a target for the deployment of green energy of 5% by 2020 and of 10% by 2030, of which 3.5GW
