Interested parties can hand in their bids by April 1, 2016, at maximum bidding price of €0.1109 ($0.1241) per kilowatt hour, the same support price-ceiling applied at the last auction in 2015.

"In this round for the first time there is a possibility to make bids for projects on agricultural lands," BNetzA president Jochen Homann said.

"Also, the tendering volume with 125MW is significantly smaller than in the previous rounds."
