The KfW, which supports the installation of PV plants with an ESS with up to 30% of investment costs via subsidised loans, has already handed out €163m ($183m) since Germany’s solar storage incentive programme started two years ago.
During the first four months of this year alone, about 1,800 ESS received support, some 40% more than in the year-earlier period.
