"The value now reached lies significantly below that of the second round. That shows the strong competition for support of ground-based [solar] arrays," BNetzA president Jochen Homann says.
Winning bids from the second round that ended on 1 August will be entitled to a price of €84.90/MWh of electricity produced, which was already less than the average €91.70 that winning bids from the first round in April will receive.
