The decree, which doesn't need parliamentary approval, foresees 500MW of PV arrays to be tendered this year, 400MW next and 300MW in 2017, as already laid down in a draft version reported by Recharge two weeks ago.
The tenders are being held partly to meet guidelines from the European Commission, which views Germany's feed-in tariff (FIT) system for RE support with suspicious eyes, but are heavily opposed by the renewables industry.
