GE EFS will buy an 85% stake in a 14MW project being developed by Trina in Japan’s Miyagi Prefecture, with construction to kick off imminently and completion scheduled for June 2017.

Trina will oversee the EPC work, using its own modules to build the plant.

GE EFS, one of three financing ‘verticals’ owned by General Electric, is a major investor in wind and solar projects globally – often, though not exclusively, projects that use GE equipment.
