It will collaborate with mining and energy specialist Hebei Yuanchen on the construction of 500MW of PV in Zhangjiakou, northeast of Beijing in Hebei province.
The companies plan to finish the project within the next three to five years, GCL New Energy said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange. It did not reveal the terms of the deal.
Hebei Yuanchen — based in Tangshan, Hebei — has already secured land for the project.
