Its traditional printed circuit-board production unit posted a profit of HK$11.1m in the six months to 30 September, 2014, it said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
Earlier this year, GCL-Poly — the world’s largest supplier of polysilicon and wafers to the PV industry — purchased printed circuit-board producer Same Time Holdings, changed its name to “GCL New Energy” and started using the newly acquired company to buy and operate solar projects.
