Gamesa will build four PV plants in the state of Tamil Nadu under an EPC deal with a trio of textile manufacturers.
The end-users – Best Corporation, Shiny Knitwear and Santhosh – include existing users of Gamesa’s wind power services, the Spanish group said.
The plants will use inverters from Gamesa’s own Gamesa Electric division, which until now has been the limit of the company’s solar presence since it sold its Gamesa Solar PV unit in early 2008.
