Plants built under the tender – which was doubled to 800MW in August following strong interest in the process – will cost about €1bn ($1.08bn) and increase the country’s solar production by about 15%, said the French government, which is currently hosting the COP21 climate change conference.
France’s energy ministry issued a call for projects in the large rooftop, shade structure and ground-mounted segments.
