Fortum is discussing potential investments in SunEdison’s interests in India, including the 500MW Andhra Pradesh project it won in an auction last year at what was a new low in Indian solar power-pricing – 4.63 rupees/kWh ($0.069/kWh) – said Reuters.
Fortum entered the frame after announcing earlier this week that India will be the first target in a global expansion of its solar operations, with up to €400m ($450) earmarked for projects in the country.
