Fortum secured the right to build 100MW in the Indian state after an auction run under the auspices of the country's National Solar Mission for off-taker NTPC.
The Finnish group won the capacity with a bid of 4.79 rupees per kWh ($0.072/kWh) for 25 years.
The success comes soon after Fortum announced plans to invest up to €400m ($456m) in Indian solar projects and adds to its January win of 70MW in the state of Rajasthan.
