The new company – which will retain the name Motech – will be the world’s largest maker of PV cells, with a combined 3GW of annual production capacity, the companies claim.
The merger, which will see Motech issue nearly 46 million new shares and swap them for Topcell shares at a ratio of 1:6, is expected to be finalised by mid-2015.
