The contract, for an undisclosed amount, represents a follow-on job for Fluor, which handled several previous projects for REC Silicon, including its polysilicon plant in Moses Lake, Washington.
Texas-based Fluor already performed the front-end engineering and design package for the Shaanxi factory.
The China factory will be owned by TianREC, a joint venture between Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Tian Hong New Energy Co. (51%) and REC Silicon (49%) – referred to by REC Silicon as the “Yulin JV”.
