The US manufacturer will deliver 2.36 million of its thin-film modules to the second phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
The order was placed by Saudi utility ACWA Power and Spanish EPC specialist TSK, which will build and run the solar plant on behalf of the Dubai authorities.
The plant’s developers hailed it as a solar milestone in January when it won Dubai’s tender for the project with a record-low subsidy-free price of $58.50/MWh.
