First Solar returns to strong profit in Q2 on project sales

Having reported a net loss of $62m during the first quarter of 2015, First Solar swung to a profit of $94.5m in the second quarter.

First Solar chalked up sales of $896.2m during the second quarter – $427m more than it did during the first three months of the year – as it booked revenues from the sale of a trio of utility-scale PV projects in the US.
