First Solar is weighing its options for a module plant in India, but does not have any specific plans, a spokesman tells Recharge.
“We expect domestic demand in India will increase based on new government policies,” he says. “As that demand grows and becomes sustainable and unsubsidised, we would more specifically review viability of manufacturing activities to competitively serve the domestic market.”
