As revealed by Recharge yesterday, SolarWorld has lodged an official request with the European Commission (EC) for an inquiry into alleged circumvention of EU fair-trade action against Chinese imports.
The German PV group and EU ProSun want Brussels to look into claims that Chinese product is being shipped to Taiwan and Malaysia, and then into Europe, to avoid anti-dumping measures.
The group also alleges that some Chinese producers are flouting the minimum pricing structure put in place by the EC in its 2013 compromise deal with China, observing it "only on paper" and making refunds to customers later.
