E. ON commissions Arizona projects

E.ON Climate & Renewables has commissioned two solar PV projects totaling 20MW capacity in Arizona with utility Tucson Electric Power to purchase all electricity under long-term contract.

Tech Park Solar is a 7MW facility and Valencia Solar is13MW. Construction of both began in second half 2012.

"These are our maiden solar facilities in the US andsignal E.ON's commitment to solar development in the US market," says ChristopheJurczak, president of EC&R Solar.

Components for the projects were provided by US invertermanufacturer Eaton and tracker manufacturer Terrafix.
