Japanese companies shipped about 48.6MW of PV modules to foreign markets in the second quarter, including 32.5MW to Europe and 5.5MW to the US, up sharply from previous quarters, according to the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA).
Solar panel shipments within Japan jumped almost 27% in the three months to 30 September, from the 1.88GW shipped in the country in the first quarter of the Japanese fiscal year.
