Sales of its crystalline and thin-film PV cells rose 16.1% year-on-yearto ¥259.9bn ($2.55bn) in its 2012 financialyear ending March.
Shipments reached about 1.32GW for the year, up 22.9% on 2011’sfigure.
Sales were mainly supported by strong residential demand inJapan, as well as from utility-scale projects.
However, that was slightly offset by weakness in overseas markets,particularly Europe, Sharp said.
