This month Ene Solar Systems submitted plans for a 9MW plant in the coastal city of Kristinestad — double the existing total PV capacity in a country that boasts similar insolation levels to Germany.
If consented Kristinestad would require investment of about €10m ($10.5m), and would be eligible for a government grant amounting to 30% of the costs.
Ene has already sought consent for 9MW plants in the cities of Rauma, Nakkila and Imatra.
