Dii's outgoing chief executive Paul van Son told Recharge in October that it will reduce its staff in Munich and work with a smaller number of experts in the Bavarian capital and small local offices in the MENA regions.
Van Son himself will also move to Dubai, but is leaving Dii to build up the business of German utility RWE in MENA and Turkey.
