Such manufacturers now account for about 75% of the Indian market, up nearly 50% over the past 12 months, the Gurgaon-baed firm says.
Eight of the top 10 suppliers of solar panels in India are Chinese companies, from just four last year. The only non-Chinese companies that remain in the top 10 are US-based First Solar and India's Waaree.
“Existing Chinese majors have maintained their market share but the new Chinese companies have taken a significant share away from Indian and other international suppliers,” the research firm says.
