According to a memorandum of understanding, China’s National Energy Solar Center (NESC), a division of China Electrical Power Research Institute (CEPRI), will work with GL on testing performance of solar equipment on the grid.

This includes tests for low voltage ride-through (LVRT), voltage/frequency response, active/reactive control testing, power quality testing, grid adaptability testing, and power output character testing.

China’s solar market has boomed since the country launched a feed-in tariff on 1 August last year.
