The Ontario-based manufacturer will deliver its CS6P-265P panels to Sunrun — the second-biggest owner of residential PV capacity in the US — in 2016, according to an online statement.
It did not reveal the terms of the deal.
Earlier this month, San Francisco-based Sunrun reported a $2.8m third-quarter loss, versus $15.2m a year earlier.
Canadian Solar, meanwhile, recently announced plans to open new factories in Brazil and Southeast Asia.
